1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and Aussie Household Toolkit ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, purchasing a bundle, or otherwise using the site or any tool, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The service

We provide calculators, planners, recipes, reference content and AI-assisted tools for Australian households (mortgage, childcare, family budget, fitness, meal planning, playgrounds, party planning and similar). All outputs are estimates and general information only, based on the inputs you provide and publicly available assumptions (e.g. ATO PAYG schedules, Services Australia CCS rates).

3. Not professional advice

Nothing in this app is financial, taxation, legal, medical, nutrition, or fitness advice. Always verify with a licensed professional (mortgage broker, registered tax agent, financial adviser, GP, dietitian, exercise physiologist) before making decisions. The fitness programmes are general — get medical clearance before starting, especially during pregnancy, postpartum, or if you have pelvic-floor issues, injuries, cardiac issues or chronic conditions. Recipes are not allergen-safe and may contain or contact common allergens — check labels yourself.

4. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian's permission) to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use. One account per person; don't share logins.

5. Subscriptions, pricing and billing

• All Access is an auto-renewing annual subscription of A$49 / year (approx. less than $1 per week). Billed in advance via Stripe in Australian dollars. Prices include GST where applicable.
• Money Mate Bundle is a one-off purchase of A$19 that unlocks the four Money & Budgets tools (Family Budget, Childcare Reality Check, Renewals & Recurring Bills, Mortgage Paydown Planner) for the life of the account.
• First-year upgrade offer: when buying the Money Mate Bundle you may instead choose All Access for A$39 total for your first year; it then renews automatically at the standard A$49/year. You can cancel anytime to stop future renewals.
• We may change prices for future renewals with at least 14 days' notice by email. Your current paid period is unaffected.

6. Cancellations and refunds — no refunds, cancel anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops future billing — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

We do not offer refunds on subscriptions or one-off bundle purchases once you've signed up or unlocked the content. Every tool, recipe, calculator and AI feature is available immediately on payment, so the value is delivered straight away. By purchasing you acknowledge that you waive any cooling-off / change-of-mind refund right to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this clause excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service we provide is faulty, materially not as described, or doesn't meet the consumer guarantees in the ACL, you are entitled to a remedy (which may include a refund). Contact us within 30 days of the issue and we'll make it right.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape at scale, or redistribute the service or its content.
• Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the tools, recipes, programmes or AI outputs.
• Abuse, automate or attempt to overload the AI features, or use them to generate harmful, illegal or infringing content.
• Upload anything that infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or breaches Australian law.
• Use the service to spam, harass or impersonate anyone, including other users via reviews or community features.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice.

8. User content and reviews

If you post reviews, ratings, photos or other content (for example on Playful Places), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display and moderate that content within the service. You confirm you own or have the rights to the content and that it doesn't breach anyone's rights or these Terms. We may remove content at our discretion.

9. Intellectual property

All software, calculators, written content, recipes, programmes, branding and design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Australian and international IP laws. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them while your account is in good standing.

10. AI features

Some features use AI models to analyse inputs you provide (e.g. budget statements, meal preferences) and generate suggestions. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date — always sanity-check it before acting. Don't paste sensitive personal information (TFNs, full bank account numbers, medical records) into AI prompts.

11. Third-party services

We use Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for backend hosting. By using the service you also agree to those providers' terms where applicable. We're not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party providers, but we'll work with them to fix problems quickly.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we exclude all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss (including loss of profit, savings or data) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the tools or their output. Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or refunding the price paid for it in the previous 12 months.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or content you submit.

15. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may add, remove or change features at any time. We may update these Terms — material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the changes.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
